D. Nicholas Rees, BA
President and Chief Executive Officer

On November 5, 2009, Mr. Rees became only the third CEO in The Buckeye Ranch's fifty year history, following Dr. Les Bostic and Rick Rieser, MS, JD. Since 2003, Mr. Rees has been the Ranch's Vice-President of Development where he focused his efforts on fundraising and building awareness for the Ranch's mission. In his new role, Mr. Rees retains his position as "chief fundraiser" and also assumes complete responsibility for the Ranch's future. As the new CEO, Mr. Rees brings over 30 years of business experience. Prior to joining The Buckeye Ranch, Mr. Rees spent 24 years with The Kroger Company, where he gained experience in acoounting, human resources, staff management, advertising, marketing, real estate, community relations, consumer relations and public/media relations. Mr. Rees' hometown is Gallipolis, Ohio and he is a graduate of Ohio Dominican University. He currently resides in Westerville, Ohio, with his wife, Lynne Hartman.

Stephen Richard, MS, LSW
Executive Vice-President of Programs and Services

Stephen holds a Bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University, a Master's degree from the University of Dayton, and is a licensed social worker.  After completing his undergraduate work, Stephen worked for three years for the Department of Youth Services in a variety of capacities.   Stephen has spent the past 25 years working in the child welfare field including 13 years with Franklin County Children's Services (FCCS). Since 1999 Stephen has worked at The Buckeye Ranch as the director of Permanent Family Solutions Network (PFSN).  PFSN, a child welfare provider, currently serves approximately 400 families and 800 children each day.  Stephen is responsible for the daily operation of PFSN, ensuring quality service delivery for children and families, evaluation of operational practices, managing the operational budget, collaboration with all Ranch program providers, and working collaboratively with FCCS. As Executive Vice-President of Programs and Services he is responsible for overseeing every aspect of The Ranch's clinical services and behavioral health programs.

Molly Heit, MSW, LISW, RPT
Clinical Director of Residential and Deaf Services

Molly received a Master’s degree in social work from The University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in social work from The University of Dayton.  She began her career at the Ranch in 1996 as a Clinician and now oversees all of the Ranch’s Residential Programs, including ADAMH crisis beds and the Equestrian Program, as well as the Ranch’s Deaf Services programs, including residential and community based programs in Columbus and Cincinnati.  Prior to joining the Ranch, Molly was a social worker for the Association for the Developmentally Disabled (ADD) in Columbus, Ohio.

Roger Minner, MSW, LISW-S
Vice President of Treatment Foster Care and Family Based Services

Roger is accountable for all of the Ranch community-based counseling programs and its statewide foster care network, Square One. The community based behavioral health programs include intensvie in-home counseling, office-based counseling, community psychiatric support, and the Ranch's Cross Creek partial hospitalization program. The foster care network has over 160 licensed resource homes, serves approximately 300 youth annually, and has offices in Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton and Hebron, Ohio. He is also responsible for the Admissions Department.

Roger joined the Ranch in 2002. Prior to that, he served as the Executive Director of Huckleberry House, Inc., in Columbus, Ohio. He earned a Masters Degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University in 1985.

Sherri Orr, CPA
Chief Financial Officer

Sherri graduated from Otterbein College summa cum laude with a double major in accounting and business administration. A licensed certified public accountant, Sherri worked in public accounting for 14 years developing specialties in the non-profit and health care industries. Sherri achieved partner level after 12 years of employment. For the past eight years, Sherri has served as the Ranch's chief financial officer. In that role, Sherri oversees the development of agency budgets, cost reports and all financial reports, ensures financial compliance with contracts and grants, and leads the finance team that provides strategic leadership. In addition, Sherri oversees the maintenance, housekeeping and food service departments.

Sehul Patel, BS
Director of Information Technology

Sehul serves as The Buckeye Ranch's Director of Information Technology. In this role, Sehul is responsible for leading the company's organization in meeting business needs, establishing IT strategy and developing new technology initiatives. Prior to joining The Ranch, he served as a senior consultant for various clients in the Columbus area working on developing and implementing software solutions on a variety of different platforms. During his time at The Buckeye Ranch, Sehul has played an instrumental role in the creation and implementation of BRAD, the internal ERM software system.

He received his Bachelors of Science from The Ohio State University in Computer Science, with a minor in Business. He has completed a Management Development Fellowship at The Ohio State University John Glenn Institute.

Michelle Delery Stratman, J.D., MS Ed, PCC-S, LICDC
Director of Quality Improvement/Corporate Counsel

Michelle holds a law degree from Capital University and is a licensed attorney. She received her master's degree in counselor education from the University of Dayton and is a professional clinical counselor and licensed independent chemical dependency counselor. Michelle has been working for over a decade as a counselor in mental health agencies. She currently serves as the director of quality improvement at The Buckeye Ranch. Michelle coordinates and oversees quality improvement and risk management programs for the entire continuum of care. As part of her role, she ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies, credentialing, licensing and certification standards, and provides consultation in various matters such as contracts, health care law, employment law, family law and other legal matters. In addition, she provides clinical supervision and training to staff working towards achieving independent license.

Gary R. Stammler, CPA
Executive Vice President, Business Operations

Gary has been associated with the Ranch since March, 2002.  Prior to being Vice President, Business Operations, he served as Controller. He received his Bachelors of Business Administration from The Ohio State University. Before coming to the Ranch, he served in various finance positions in the soft drink industry, as well as nine years of service with the CPA firm, Deloitte & Touche.  In his position at the Ranch, Gary is responsible for human resources, purchasing, and business analysis. Gary's work in business analysis embraces a multitude of projects that extend across the entire Ranch system.

Shivani Gopal Edwards, MSW, LISW-S, LICDC
Director of Clinical Development

Shivani is currently the Director of Clinical Development and has worked at The Buckeye Ranch since 1997 as a clinician and administrator. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Social Work.

Shivani was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She considers herself bi-cultural, as well as an ethnic and gender minority. She is an experienced therapist and clinical supervisor working over 18 years with seriously mentall ill children and their families in residential and community based programs. Shivani has been directly involved in the development of services for juvenile sex offenders, dual diagnosis treatment for substance abuse and co-occuring mental health disorders, and homebased services at The Buckeye Ranch as well as programs that provide clinical intervention within several school settings. Shivani currently oversees The Buckeye Ranch's Family Resources Department which focuses on providing a positive customer service experience for families and referral agencies. As Director of Clinical Development, she is involved in ensuring that The Buckeye Ranch uses evidenced informed and best practices in order to provide quality services for all families.

Kimberly Miller, BA
Utilization Manager, PFSN

Kimberly holds a Bachelor's degree from Miami University. Prior to joining The Buckeye Ranch in 2004, Kimberly spent the last 12 years in the child welfare field both as a child protective specialist and a supervisor. In her current role as Utilization Manager, Kimberly is responsible for ensuring quality services are provided to children and families of PFSN. She also consults with other Ranch programs and provides utilization functions as needed.

Kim Bruce, BA
Human Resources, Director

Kim holds a Bachelor's degree from Cambridge. Prior to joining The Buckeye Ranch in 2007, Kim has over twenty-five years in the HR field. She spent 12 years in the employee benefits field as a Regional Director and Corporate Benefits Director for a national third party administrator. In her current role as Human Resources Director, Kim is responsible for the day-to-day administration of human resources, payroll, recruiting and staff development policies, program and practices, including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating and directing such programs and practices.
