COOK’S AIDE – Grove City

Full-time food service position preparing and serving meals to staff and adolescent residents according to instructions from the Food Service Supervisor and established menus.  Also assists with inventory, supply orders, and equipment as necessary.  Must be willing to be a positive, contributing member of the food service team.  Some cooking experience and basic English language skills required.  Stable job history preferred.  Work schedule is on a rotating 3 week schedule and consists of morning, afternoon, and early evening hours.  Start times vary depending on the day.  There are weekend days included in this schedule.  Full-time.

- PFSN – Columbus - E Broad St

Permanent Family Solutions Network, a division of The Buckeye Ranch, is searching for a dedicated individual with the skills and abilities to work effectively with diverse families who are managing challenges in their home and in the community.  This individual works closely with Child Protective Specialists with the goal of helping families improve their quality of life, stability, and self-sufficiency.  Responsibilities include teaching parent education and providing supervised visitation services in the office and/or in the community.  Bachelor’s degree and extensive knowledge of available community resources in Franklin County required.  State-approved Caseworker Core Series training preferred.  Full-time.


Provide community-based, in home family and individual counseling to young people and their families who are struggling with multiple challenges such as trauma, substance abuse, and legal involvement.  Family-centered perspective and ability to work with diverse collaterals is required.  Experience with family-therapy, trauma treatment, delinquency issues, and substance abuse treatment preferred.  State of Ohio LSW, PC, or MFT licensure required.  Master’s degree in human services preferred.  However, consideration will be given to applicants with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, LSW licensure, and demonstrated long-term clinical experience with children and families.  On-going professional development, training, team building, and opportunities for growth provided.  Diverse applicants sought to work with a diverse population.  Full-time.


Lifeguard is responsible for outdoor pool and swimmer safety, opening and closing pool routines, testing chemical levels, and cleaning the pool and deck.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must also be a Red Cross certified Lifeguard and Professional Rescuer.  May 23, 2014 – September 1, 2014.  Shift likely 12:00pm - 8:00pm.  Wednesdays and Thursdays off.  Full-time seasonal.

– Columbus

The Buckeye Ranch is seeking an individual with mental health clinical training and experience to provide Multisystemic Therapy (MST). MST is a well-researched community-based treatment model directed at youth involved in criminal activity and their families. Interested persons may locate information about this treatment model on the internet at  Duties include assessment, treatment, and collaboration with families, youth, and community agency staff. Clinicians will function as part of an MST team and will participate in weekly team supervision and consultation.  Must be able to work non-traditional hours and be available to provide periodic on-call 24-hour coverage. Master’s degree in a mental health field and state of Ohio LSW or PC licensure is required.  MST experience preferred.  Specific experience in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, and behaviorally-based treatments is also preferred.  Diverse applicants sought to work with a diverse population.  Full-time. 


While ensuring compliance with ODJFS and MEPA guidelines and rules, the Placement/Respite Coordinator accepts and matches children, referred by custodial agencies, community-based respite programs (direct placements), or other referral sources, with foster homes in the Cincinnati area recommended for licensure by The Buckeye Ranch Foster Care.  Works closely with the treatment team to ensure that the most appropriate match is made for each child, engages in recruitment and retention activities with foster parents, and provides some administrative support to the team.  Also participates in on call rotation and occasionally serves as placements worker in the central Ohio area, as needed.  Excellent customer service skills, Bachelor’s degree, and state of Ohio LSW, PC, or MFT license required.  Adoption Assessor training preferred.  Experience in foster care, mental health, and/or child welfare also preferred.  Diverse applicants sought to work with a diverse population.  Mon.–Fri.  Full-time.

– Common Ground - Rosemont (Linden)

Part-time position working in the supervised visitation and exchange program, Common Ground, specializing in domestic violence and stalking cases.  In compliance with policies and procedures, this individual supervises visitation and safe exchange with families, completes essential documentation in a timely manner, maintains client files, assists in maintaining the visitation center facility, and also assists the Program Manager, as necessary.  High school diploma or equivalent required.  A minimum of 2 years social service experience preferred.  Diverse applicants sought to work with a diverse population.  Work schedule is less than 20 hours per week and includes Wednesday evenings, Saturday mornings, and Sunday afternoons.  Part-time. 

YOUTH LEADER - Residential - Grove City

Work with young people.  Make a difference.  This full-time, entry-level, 2nd shift position provides one-on-one and group supervision, intervention, and behavioral leadership of young people in residential care to establish and maintain a positive treatment environment and desired treatment outcomes.  The ability to handle physical and recreational activities is needed.  High school diploma or equivalent required.  Applicants must be 21+ years of age, have a clean criminal record and a good driving record with no more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents within the past 3 years.  Experience working with young people strongly preferred.  College degree also preferred, but not required.  Diverse applicants sought to work with a diverse population.  2nd Shift work schedule includes weekends.  Full-time.
