HOUSE COORDINATOR  -  Residential Services  -  male youth 

The Buckeye Ranch Residential Services is currently in search of an excellent candidate to coordinate the Horizon program, a 10-bed unit for male youth, ages 12-18, with emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues.

Duties include providing, coordinating, and monitoring daily programming to ensure that clinically prescribed services are occurring. 

Responsibilities also include training, scheduling, supervising, and providing guidance to youth care staff; meeting regularly with youth leaders, senior youth leaders, and group specialists; communicating consistently with the program clinician; meeting with clinical supervisor for supervision; assisting with individual programming for residents, as needed; and reviewing and addressing incident reports. 

Additional areas of accountability include administering the program within approved budget guidelines (i.e. minimizing the use of overtime and other expenses;) maintaining compliance with required standards; performing site inspections; documenting safety issues; and ensuring that all necessary safety-related drills are conducted. 

Work schedule: 

Hours worked in this position vary and include requisite on-call coverage as well as evenings and weekends, as necessary, to effectively maintain the milieu. 

Required:

At least five (5) years of professional child/adolescent work experience in a mental health treatment setting

Demonstrated professional work experience in a residential treatment setting

Mental Health Day Treatment (MHDT) certification in good standing.  Applicants without MHDT certification will be considered, but expected to obtain this certification within four (4) months of hire date. 

Preferred, but not required:

Bachelor’s degree
