MEDICATION MANAGEMENT NURSE

The Buckeye Ranch is one of Ohio’s leading providers of emotional, behavioral, mental health, and substance abuse services.  We work with children and young adults, many of whom have experienced abuse or neglect, and families who are facing significant challenges and often multiple stressors.

The Buckeye Ranch is currently seeking a full-time Medication Management Nurse

The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and organized Medication Management Nurse to work with nursing and administrative staff in the Medication Management Program to advance the health and well-being of the children and families served and ensure the highest quality of care at The Buckeye Ranch. 

Responsibilities: 

Include; supporting prescriber activities through facilitation of schedule/appointment workflow and process; medication teaching and nursing consultation; serving as a point of contact for Buckeye Ranch clients and families regarding medical follow up; supporting medical documentation; assigned compliance and agency Infection Control duties; serving as a point of contact for purposes of managed care organizations (MCOs). Strong communication skills; flexibility with task assignment; and the ability to work both independently and in teams are necessary for success in this position.

   

 SCHEDULE

Although work hours may vary, in general, schedule is Mon.–Thu., 9:00AM-7:00PM.  Full-time.

 

REQUIRED

State of Ohio Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing 

 

PREFERRED

 Experience in behavioral health

 Medicaid systems experience and/or knowledge of psychotropic medications preferred.
