The Buckeye Ranch’s family-centered treatment approach drives our commitment to preserving family relationships and believes maintaining these bonds is crucial to the success of the child’s transition back into their community. Currently, The Buckeye Ranch offers a Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) and a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) program on our residential campus in Grove City.

Though research shows children, youth, and families are best served in their homes and communities, there are cases in which a child may require treatment outside of the home. The Buckeye Ranch has the facilities and the treatment capacity to support children and youths with these serious mental health needs and behavioral challenges.

For youth inpatient mental health treatment in a secure residential setting, our secure campus provides the care and structure they need with locked units, cameras, and low staff-to-youth ratios. In this environment, youth of all genders and backgrounds, ages 9-17, are provided the treatment and skills they need to prepare for a successful transition back into the community.
The Buckeye Ranch has been able to create a unique approach to education by partnering with the South-Western City School District to provide instruction on campus for our youth. The Buckeye Ranch provides the physical space that houses the classrooms, and South-Western City School District provides certified teachers.
Our campus is equipped with numerous facilities and unique therapies and resources to promote wellness, recovery, and healing during the youth’s stay:
At the Buckeye Ranch we use evidence-based therapies, provided by licensed clinicians with Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) assessments completed upon request, such as:
