Mental Health

We partner with South-Western City Schools to offer family-centered treatment at our secure campus. Our Residential Treatment program, which is certified by the State of Ohio, offers assistance for children and youth with serious mental health challenges that are best addressed outside of the home. With amenities ranging from a fitness center to animal-based therapy, our facility provides valuable services to young people dealing with self-harm, substance abuse, physical and verbal aggression, suicidal ideation, and other significant issues.

For children and youth whose mental health issues are best handled in a family setting or other familiar environment, we offer a variety of options for treatment and counseling. We work with a number of schools around Central Ohio to offer services, and also have four convenient outpatient locations throughout the community. In addition, we offer a complement of home-based services, including:

• Intensive Family Support Program
• Intensive Home-Based Treatment
• Multisystemic Therapy
• Functional Family Therapy

Our team at The Buckeye Ranch works with both families and clinical staff to diagnose and treat mental health issues in children and youth, including prescribing medications when necessary. Our prescribers meet regularly with patients and their families, and offer access to the clinical treatment team in response to all questions and concerns. Our team consists of physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and support staff, all dedicated to child and adolescent health.
