Child Welfare

foster care services and transitional programming

At The Buckeye Ranch, the safety and well-being of children, youth, and families in the community are our top priorities. That’s why we provide a number of opportunities for children and families to get the assistance they need through our network of foster care families throughout the state of Ohio, our transitional-aged youth housing programs, and our PFSN program, which provides case management and referrals to other programming within The Buckeye Ranch as needed.

permanent family solutions network

The Permanent Family Solutions Network (PFSN) is here to help families concerned about abuse, neglect, dependency, and delinquent or unruly behaviors in children. PFSN makes referrals to other child welfare services offered by The Buckeye Ranch, as well as by other organizations. Through it all, our goal is to keep families together or, if separation is necessary, to reunite families as quickly as possible.

More About PFSN

foster care

Our foster care program connects children in need with hundreds of foster homes across nearly half the counties in Ohio. We offer a substantial number of resources for foster families, as well as reimbursements to ensure they can afford to properly look after the children in their care. We also have plenty of information on what it’s like to be a foster parent working with The Buckeye Ranch, and make it simple to sign up.

transitional age youth

Our transitional youth program, My Place, is designed for ages 16-21. It’s intended for young adults who are ready to leave foster care or group housing, but not quite ready to live on their own. My Place offers convenient, secure one-bedroom apartments to their young people, and helps them develop important life skills such as budgeting and nutrition.
