The Buckeye Ranch’s Transitional Age Youth (TAY) programs provide all youth aged 14 and older in the custody with independent living and housing services in Columbus to prepare them for the transition from agency custody to self-sufficiency.
Transitional Age Youth programs are designed to help young adults who are ready to transition from care, group housing, and/or foster care, but are not ready to live completely on their own. We offer an array of services from access to the state if Ohio’s BRIDGES program, our My Place program, as well as general transitional age youth programming and coaching.
The Buckeye Ranch is committed to providing transitional living services to help the young adults being served by our PFSN program that are ages 14+ in order to help them move successfully into adulthood. They receive case management services through our experienced staff, including an on-site supervisor and staffing 24/7. The areas of need for each young adult in the program will be assessed individually through discussion with the young adult, on top of a review of the Ansell Casey Assessment and other independent living assessments completed upon admission.
