Sarah Book (MA, LPCC-S) is an adaptive servant leader with over 15 years of impactful administrative experience leading cross-functional teams throughout the mental health and social services fields. Presently, she serves as the Vice President of Residential Treatment Services at The Buckeye Ranch since 2022. Her work at The Buckeye Ranch began in 2007 when she served Community-Based Mental Health Services as the Multisystemic Therapy Supervisor and then Intensive Home-Based AOD Treatment Supervisor through 2011. Throughout her career, she’s supported other critical social organizations like the Ohio Department of Youth Services, Franklin County Family and Children First Council, the Alcohol, and the Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County in roles such as Chief of Behavioral Health Services, Behavioral Health Services Administrator, Administrative Director, Clinical Manager Youth and Family Services, and Professional Clinical Counselor.
She has robust experience in program development, management, community collaboration, and evaluation. Sarah uses this experience to raise hope and restore healing for The Buckeye Ranch’s highest acuity youth and is passionate in her pursuit in improving the lives of vulnerable and underserved populations. She has been committed to holistically serving at-risk adolescents for over 25 years, spending her career combating the pipeline from trauma, poverty, and other social injustices to the child welfare and criminal justice systems.
Sarah has a master’s degree in counseling and human development from Walsh University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Walsh University.
