Vickie has dedicated her career to eliminating barriers to support youth and families for over 34 years. Currently serving as the President & CEO of The Buckeye Ranch, one of the state of Ohio’s largest nonprofits providing child welfare, behavioral and mental healthcare, and educational services. Vickie is an industry leader in the non-profit sector. She is a community leader dedicated to creating support that addresses the real-time needs of her neighbors. Her early career began in the child welfare space, and then expanded into healthcare, senior living, housing, behavioral health, and work with persons with disabilities. Her last leadership position was with Samaritas, as the President of one of the largest nonprofits in the state of Michigan, and within the national Lutheran Services in America network. Vickie has a Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University and a Master’s of Social Work from Eastern Michigan University.
In addition to her leadership at The Buckeye Ranch, Vickie plays an active role in the Central Ohio community. She serves as the President-Elect of the Board of Directors for the Ohio Children’s Alliance, where she advocates for equitable public behavioral and mental health policies, ensuring that the diverse experiences of individuals are well-represented. She also partners closely with Grove City, the Franklin County Courts, and the Columbus Police Department to enhance initiatives for violence prevention, safeguarding the well-being of young adults in our community. Additionally, she is a dedicated executive mentor in the 2024 Nonprofit Executive Mentorship Program.
