Intensive Home-Based Therapy (IHBT)

The Buckeye Ranch’s Intensive Home-Based Therapy (IHBT) program is for youth ages 5 through 17 who are struggling with serious emotional disturbances and are at-risk for out-of-home placements or who are returning home from placement. The program focuses on acute behaviors, with a goal to focus on healing the mental health issues that put the youth at-risk while promoting positive development and healthy family functioning to ensure stability for the youth.

What to expect from IHBT:

  • Program length is brief, with a maximum 6 month duration
  • Services are provided 3.5-5 hours/week in the home, school, and community where youth live and function
  • Staff provide 24-hour crisis interventions to assist self-harm behaviors, severe depression, aggression, substance abuse, trauma, and defiant behaviors

Program Impact

Over the last year, the IHBT program served 76 families, providing more than 7,300 hours of clinical service to support healing!
